Welcome to Childrens Rescue Center, Inc.

We have been serving Springfield's children and families for almost 20 years. Our organization exists to facilitate the love of Jesus to children and families in the inner city by providing services and activities to meet individual needs.

We offer a variety of services. We do not require that you belong to any particular affiliation to participate in any of the services we offer. They are listed below:

Afterschool Programs -
Kids come to our afterschool locations for a safe and fun place to hang out after school. We also offer help with homework and reading. The time they spend here includes lots of fun, snacks, and activities. All for FREE!


THE ARK ministry serves Kindergarten through 6th grade. This is the ministry where it all began . . . in 1991, Nancy and Gary Lutz and Marty and Susie Rastatter wanted to serve Jesus Christ, and in serving Him, serve those who were in need, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Today we serve over 500 kids every week in our THREE Ark locations. See the schedule.


THE ROCK ministry serves Junior High and High School students (7th - 12th graders). This program has one focus to meet the inner-city youth where they are and make a difference in their lives. See the schedule.



Daily Bread Food Pantry -
What started as a few shelves over a mop sink serving 12 families, now serves 300 families each month! Each family is individually prayed with as requested. See the current schedule.







Gary Lutz Gopher Dome - 
This is a community resource and community gym all in one. This building is the old "Holy Trinty" campus gym. This gym can be rented for team practices or games, conferences and receptions. See the current schedule.




We host live music on many Friday nights. We offer the finest fair trade coffees, teas, and chocolates. We have fresh baked items, deli sandwiches, (the best around) and fresh fruit smoothies. Un Mundo on Main-
This is a place for the community to come and be served family-style meals while building relationships. On Sundays, a worship service is offered at 1:30pm and a meal is served after.  All are welcome...and food is available until it runs out!  See the current schedule.
