Our 5K and fun run was held on October 3, 2010. This year’s Annual Kingdom Celebration was held in Snyder Park and teamed with the "Couch to 5K" race! What an event it was! We had over 120 runners and 30 volunteers assist in this inaugural event. Here are a few links to photos Race Results & pics, Springfield News & Sun pics. A BIG THANKS to our 2010 5k sponsors: Springfield Foundation, Live Now, Security National Bank and trainers from the Fitness Cellar who assisted with warming up for the race!
The Kingdom Celebration is a sort of street fair where the vision of Brian and Lisa Cotterman to bring the community together with the services in the city happens in a fun and unique way! It was amazing how many kids/adults that were there had attended the Ark when they were a child . . . a family reunion of sorts! We thank God for this gift.
Frame Haven Supporting Children's Rescue Center
In 2008 a generous donor gifted us with signed and numbered prints by James D Werline. We called Frame Haven to see if they would frame prints that anyone purchased, and they offered to donate a portion of the framing costs back to us! These prints are available through CRC or at Frame Haven Art Gallery.
In 2009 Don and Audrey McKanna, Owner Operators of Frame Haven chose us to be their charity of choice to receive a portion of the newest P. Buckley Moss print! Their total donation from this event raised over $1,000 for us! Thank you Frame Haven for helping us to share the love of Jesus with families and children in Springfield!! We thank God for you and your partnership!
